Vegan D-r-t-s Popcorn
This stuff tastes like the real deal. Y'all know what I mean.
Ingredients
2-3 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. popping corn
2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
1: Combine the nutritional yeast and spices in a mill and grind into a fine powder.
2: Heat the oil in a large skillet on medium hear. Add the popping corn. Listen for when the corn stops popping and remove from heat.
3: While the popcorn is still hot transfer to a large bowl and toss in the spices and serve or cover in a sealed container. Use within 2 days.
Notes
For a "Fl-m-ng H-t" variety use 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper and hot smoked paprika along with a hot chili powder.
For a "Nacho Cheez" variety just add in another tbsp. of nutritional yeast.
