One of my proudest moments in any workplace was the time I found out my
coworkers
were running a betting pool on if I was gay or not.a colleague of mine once asked one of my friends, "so is [deadname] gay or
not??" because she could not place the vibe. i was sleeping with said friend at
the time, which made it funnier. my friend wasn't quite as amused
Oh, that's legendary
I was at that postal job and one of my coworkers eventually cracked and all but begged me to say one way or the other after more than a year of me talking about my boyfriend without giving a single clue as to his sex/gender.
Honestly the hardest part of transitioning has been making a habit of using gendered language for other people.
