I have fibromyalgia :<
After years of having on and off symptoms of dissociation, pain, migraines, ringing of the ears, trouble sleeping, and so on, I was discussing something with my mom about a month ago. She informed me she had fibromyalgia and that I should look up the symptoms. I think there's a 95% percent chance I ...

Re: What distro are you running?
OpenBSD is pretty sick. I really like the BSDs but application support being what it and and me being a gamer, I am afraid I am parted from one of my first computing loves and my first taste of UNIX, FreeBSD.
If you can use them, the BSDs are excellent for what they are and the Big 3 are all well ...

Re: Avant-garde
Sorry for the late response, been really low-energy lately. Really, I just think it's anything that pushes the boundaries in an eccentric, forward-thinking manner. I would consider most post-modern art to be in that category as it is a broad term that literally just means "advance-guard".

Milsaps College suspends professor over e-mail.
A colleague in my field who teaches at Millsaps College, Dr. James E. Bowley, was fired because he sent out an email the day after the election canceling class that day to "mourn and process this racist and fascist country."

Re: What distro are you running?
As I mentioned before, several months ago I lost everything to a cascading failure while my backups were being performed. It sucked.
I used that moment to a do a bit of distro-hopping and while I love do love Debian and Fedora, I wanted to try one of those new immutable distros that have been the ...

Re: Wanting to learn about paganism
I am not so much into "tradition" as much as I am theology, philosophy, and carving my own path, but Paganism can be fun and there's many different courses your can take with it to develop your spirituality. My Pagan path led me to Hinduism, Buddhism, and eventually to Gnosticism. It's okay to not ...

Re: Cycles of gaming obsessions
I don't know if it's an obsession, but the game I really love is "Cities: Skylines" which if you know anything about is resource-intensive but has tons of mods to make your city look however you want. My last city (pop. 155k+) got wiped out when my computer crashed back in August and just because of ...

Luigi uses donations to buy food, supplies for fellow inmates.
Not that I regularly indulge in reading the Daily Mail, but I came across this article where it was reported he's been sharing the donations he's received from supporters to help other folks in prison afford food and supplies from the commissary.

I feel like I was baited into clicking this XD
Also I am ashamed to say I don't know much about tying knots but perhaps I should learn for... survival purposes. You never know when your going to need those skills to MacGuyver you're way out of a dangerous situation.

Revived a decade old Andriod Tablet
Way back when I worked for AT&T, I decided to get an Android tablet back when the technology was finally starting to mature. It was a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" (SM-T700 / klimtwifi). I stopped using it about four years ago and put it away in a folio where I forgot about. This morning I found that ...
