So, I want to eventually make my own cyberdeck that runs Debian and outputs to a 80s style amber laptop display. This thing is gonna be full on 80s vibes. I want to do this to have a machine to do development on in a text based / low graphics environment.

Even plan to do the old "batteries separate from the body" thing.

Anyone even know where to start or what I would have to do to be able to make something like this? I can't seem to find a suitable screen.

So apparently, what I need is probably going to be an LCD display, but honestly, it looks like I am gonna have to fake it. No biggie, looks like this can be done pretty easily. The fun part is going to be finding a case or housing for this thing. Might honestly go with a NUC or something.
